As I was driving into Boulder, Colorado many years ago, I
had what I think was a flashback to my first day on Earth...in this lifetime,
anyway. The view of Boulder's darkening but sun-edged skyline inspired a
thought that this city--more like a town back then--was the first Earth place I
connected with after leaving the womb. The memory was of some kind of core
energy synapse from my center to the very center of the planet being forged.
The feeling of it was breath-taking...or maybe breath-giving...and magnetic.
Quite
honestly, I believe that I have lived elsewhere in this solar system and thus
have studied Earth from abroad. But my sense is that Earth is home, at least in
the most recent huge cycle of time and planetary evolution, and this is what
inspires me to initiate this blog. I have in mind that it will be kind of a
magnetic center for all the thoughts, feelings, musings, contemplations,
meditations, explorations and investigations that my relationship with Earth
and all of its beings inspires.
In doing this new blog I've invited myself to be chaotic and uncertain as well as clear, organized, cohesive. Earth is a busy place these days, with lots of challenges and lots of situations to be healed in the wake of numerous human indiscretions with planetary resources. As a collective race of human beings we are largely disconnected from our spiritual responsibilities to Earth and other forms of life here. The rediscovery of these realities is upon us: I think we're in for a wild ride. This blog is where I'll speak my piece about how I see that unfolding.
